And eventually I stopped looking in the places that brought me darkness, for happiness, for the answers I wanted but would never get. I learned painfully and slowly, to let you go. To re-imagine my life without you in it. To let go of my hopes for the future. To free myself of the chains that tied me to you. And here I am, on my own, surviving.
